  • Ten Penn Center Outperforms Similar U.S. Buildings on Energy Efficiency

We’re proud to announce we have earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR® certification for superior energy performance. This recognition is awarded to buildings that outperform 75 percent of similar buildings nationwide. This is the fifth year Ten Penn Center has earned the ENERGY STAR, representing our sustained commitment to environmental protection.

“This recognition represents the diligent work of our team to minimize our impact on the environment and reduce operating costs,” says Dan Busch of Greenville Partners, which owns the building in partnership with Sterling Equities. “Our sustainability program helps us save hundreds of thousands of dollars each year — savings that are passed along to our tenants — without sacrificing performance or comfort in the building.”

On average, ENERGY STAR certified buildings use 35 percent less energy and cause 35 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions than their peers.

“Improving the energy efficiency of our nation’s buildings is critical to protecting our environment,” says Jean Lupinacci, Chief of the ENERGY STAR Commercial & Industrial Branch. “From the boiler room to the board room, organizations are leading the way by making their buildings more efficient and earning EPA’s ENERGY STAR certification.”

  • Ten Penn Center Brings Home the Gold for Digital Connectivity

Everyone knows internet connectivity drives business. That’s why we’re focused on ensuring our tenants can rely on a best-in-class digital infrastructure that supports their operations.

We’re proud to announce Ten Penn Center is now Wired Certified Gold.

This certification, awarded by WiredScore, means Ten Penn Center is recognized as having superior broadband internet connectivity and diversity. With multiple providers and points of entry, our advanced technological framework achieves the redundancy tenants require.

WiredScore’s Wired Certification program is the nation’s preeminent program that rates and recognizes the infrastructure, technology and connectivity of office buildings. Similar to LEED certification for environmental sustainability, WiredScore evaluates a building’s connectivity by examining the number and quality of internet service providers, as well as the bandwidth capabilities and reliability of connections that are based on the building’s infrastructure.

  • Onsite, Secure Bike Storage Room Rolls Out for Tenants

As more Philadelphians bike to work, especially in the warmer months, we’re excited to offer tenants access to a new secure bike storage room in the building.

Located adjacent to our loading dock, the Bike Room is outfitted with mounting racks and security measures, allowing tenants to safely store their bikes during the workday. Tenants just need to register with the management office and they will be given access to the room using their Building Photo ID Access Card.

Sustainability is a priority at Ten Penn Center, and we’re proud to support the use of alternative means of transportation.
